• New CD “Golden 80’” Label Travers, TRA 019
This band takes the most memorable popular hits of the 1980s and gives them the jazz and blues treatment, charming the audience
with its unusual improvs of Michael Jackson and Sting. Phil Robinsson acts as leader and singer, although we know him better at the piano and on the guitar alongside William Dunker, Calvin Owens and even Manou Gallo. A warm concert that will have you singing along before you know it.

Since arriving in Belgium in 1974, Kevin Mulligan has played his guitar on stage and in the studio, where he excels at arrangements (Philippe Lafontaine, Clouseau, K’s Choice, Maurane, Khadja Nin and others). But it is his native Kentucky and its childhood influences
that have inspired the jazz-heavy compositions that he will play. Come and enjoy a crooner atmosphere!

In 2006 the Krazy Mess Groovers’ début album “Funky Soul Power” revealed nine
crazy musicians with jazz, rock, electro and funk backgrounds. The early 70s disco vibe
channelled by the KMGs in their early years is now evolving into an energetic and altogether more personal soul funk sound.
These eight musicians joined forces to work on an ever shifting project that is overflowin
with the lively and subtle hip hop of the early days, enriched with touches of jazz and
hints of funk. Their sound is the result of a mix of a sharp rhythm section, a vintage keyboard and an eclectic brass section, to which singer MTO adds personal, critical and ironic lyrics on the daily life of a post-industrial generation in search of meaning.
Thomas Hucq vocals, flute | Jérôme Baudart drums | Guillaume Codutti percussion | Max Malkomes electric bass | David De Vriese trombone | Pierre Spataro tenor sax | Martial Delangre trumpet | Martin Daniel Rhodes-korg ms20
