We specialise in manufacturing spare parts for clocks and watches that are unavailable from material suppliers. We also undertake certain procedures such as redepthing and repivoting for which most clock or watch repairers are not equipped. We have a worldwide client base built up over many years of successful trading. Wheel and pinion cutting
is our main activity. We are equipped to cut replacements for any wheel count and all module sizes from 0.1- 1.5. This range is sufficient to cover gearing from pocket watches to small turret clocks.
Miscellaneous parts such as replacing a split mainspring barrel for a French clock or turning a balance staff for a pocket watch form a substantial part of our business.
Escapements give great difficulty to many repairers and we can solve their problems by making and fitting new parts.
Restoration work on clocks or watches is another area in which we have a high level of expertise whether it is converting a bracket clock back to its original verge escapement, replacing a missing strike train on a longcase clock or making a cylinder escapement for a pocket watch. We prepare a restoration plan with cost estimates before beginning work and make a photograpic record of each step of the restoration process.
New clocks form a small but important part of our activities. Clients approach us with either a design of their own or a general specification. We encourage our clients to become involved in the decision making process so that the final outcome is what they had envisaged.
Clock and watch repair and servicing is another area of activity aimed at members of the public and trade customers. As a fully qualified horologist with the capability to manufacture missing or damaged parts we are in a position to offer the best possible service. We give free estimates and guarantee all our work.
