French hand setting wheel

In the diagram above the hand setting wheel is below and to the right of the wheel marked 'E'. The function of the wheel is to rotate the motion work until the hands show the correct time.

The wheel is mounted on the square of an arbor which passes through the plates. It terminates with a square on the back plate which fits the small end of the winding key.
