Bracket clock with deadbeat escapement
This escapement is sometimes used in bracket clocks.
The example shown has adjustable pallets similar to those found in Vienna regulators. They are more likely however to be in one piece and are not adjustable.
These escape wheels have to be very accurately made and the pallet arbor must be at exactly the correct centre distance from the wheel for the escapement to function properly.
Send the pallets with the wheel so that we can check the action in a depthing tool. It is preferable to send the movement so that the back cock can be pinned in place once the correct running position is found.
The price quoted is for cutting, crossing and mounting the finished wheel.
