These brass pinions are fitted on a square at the end of the great wheel arbor on English 30 hour longcase movements.Note: if the great wheel has 13 strike pins then the gear ratio between the above pinion and the wheel it drives is 6-1

Pinions are supplied with a pilot hole for the customer to file the square and fit.
