The traditional tavern clock has been a favourite with British antique clock collectors for many years. Colin Bent of Albion clocks in London has been making high quality reproduction cases since the 1980s and we have made the movements for them.

The 16 day weight driven movement is traditionally designed, made with hardened pinions, a recoil escapement and finished to the highest standards.
The design is flexible enough to allow for the incorporation of specific changes. One client wanted the duration increased from 16 to 60 days. This was easily achieved by adding an extra wheel and pinion between the great wheel and centre pinion. Another client wanted a passing strike. This was met by the simple addition of a hammer arbor and bell.
This versatile movement can also be used in other weight driven clocks. If you require more information concerning it or the possibility of modifying it to meet your requirements please contact us.
